Engine Marriage Module

100,000~300,000 Units/Year | Alignment Press + Multi-Spindle Fastening + Cold Test Stand + AGV Delivery

Separating engine and transmission marriage from the main line is not just about shortening the main line. The more important reason is utilization of the cold test stand and other inspection equipment.

The engine arrives from incoming inspection. The transmission arrives at the same station. A hydraulic press aligns and joins the two. A multi-spindle fastener tightens all bolts simultaneously. A leak tester checks crankcase and transmission sealing. A cold test stand replaces the traditional hot test — an electric motor spins the engine without ignition, checking for leaks, oil pressure, and abnormal noise. Cold testing eliminates fuel consumption and exhaust emissions, removing the need for exhaust treatment equipment.

After marriage, the assembly is delivered to the main line via AGV or overhead conveyor. One marriage module supplies 2 to 3 main lines (see entry 20: Passenger Car/SUV Main Assembly Line), producing 100,000 to 300,000 units per year. The customer avoids duplicating marriage and testing equipment for each main line.

Technical Specifications

Applicable Models: ICE engine and transmission assemblies for passenger cars and SUVs; standalone module serving 2-3 main assembly lines; annual production 100,000-300,000 units.

Line Layout: Standalone module separate from main assembly lines; process sequence – incoming inspection of engine and transmission, hydraulic alignment press, multi-spindle simultaneous fastening, leak testing, cold test stand; delivery to main line via AGV or overhead conveyor.

Core Equipment: Hydraulic alignment press for engine-to-transmission joining; multi-spindle fastener for simultaneous bolt tightening; leak tester for crankcase and transmission seal integrity; cold test stand (electric motor spins engine without ignition) – checks leaks, oil pressure, abnormal noise; AGV or overhead conveyor for delivery to main line.

Key Technical Features: Cold test stand replaces traditional hot test – electric motor spins the engine without ignition, eliminating fuel consumption and exhaust emissions. No exhaust treatment equipment needed. One marriage module can supply 2-3 main lines (see entry 20), avoiding duplicated marriage and testing equipment investment for each main line.

Production Metrics: Annual capacity 100,000-300,000 units; serves 2-3 main lines; cold test replaces hot test (no fuel/exhaust); AGV or overhead conveyor delivery.
