Battery Pack Marriage Module

Friction Drive · Scissor Lift · 4~6-Axis Simultaneous Fastening · Insulation Retest | One Line Serves 2~3 Main Lines

The original reason for separating battery pack marriage from the main line was safety — high-voltage work needs a contained area. An unexpected benefit emerged: one battery marriage module can serve both a sedan line and an SUV line simultaneously.

Battery packs arrive from storage via AGV and enter a friction-driven conveyor. Friction drive leaves no oil residue — important for cleanliness in the battery zone. The conveyor sequence: insulation test, voltage balancing, coolant filling (for liquid-cooled packs), lift, marriage. The marriage process uses coarse positioning first, then fine positioning. High-voltage connectors align during coarse positioning and engage during fine positioning.

4 to 6 servo spindles tighten all mounting bolts simultaneously. Data is linked to the battery pack serial number. An insulation retest follows marriage — overtightening a bolt or missing a seal during marriage can damage the insulation layer.

As a standalone module, one battery marriage line can feed both a sedan line and an SUV line (see entries 14 and 15). Dedicated marriage stations per main line would significantly increase equipment investment.

Technical Specifications

Applicable Models: BEV battery packs for sedan and SUV platforms – standalone module designed to serve 2-3 main assembly lines simultaneously; compatible with both liquid-cooled and air-cooled pack configurations.

Line Layout: Friction-driven conveyor (oil-free, critical for battery zone cleanliness); process sequence – insulation test, voltage balancing, coolant filling (for liquid-cooled packs), lift, marriage; coarse positioning followed by fine positioning; high-voltage connectors align during coarse phase and engage during fine phase.

Core Equipment: Friction conveyor system (no lubricant residue, battery zone clean); 4-6 axis simultaneous servo fastener for all mounting bolts (linked to battery pack serial number); insulation tester for pre-marriage check; insulation retester for post-marriage validation; twin-scissor lift; AGV pack delivery from storage.

Key Technical Features: One battery marriage module serves both sedan and SUV main lines simultaneously – a key investment efficiency. Coarse-to-fine two-stage positioning ensures high-voltage connectors align correctly before engagement. Insulation retest after marriage catches damage caused by overtightened bolts or missing seals during installation. Friction drive eliminates oil contamination risk in battery zone.

Production Metrics: Standalone module feeding 2-3 main lines; coarse-to-fine two-stage positioning; pre and post marriage insulation testing; simultaneous 4-6 spindle fastening; friction drive conveyor (oil-free).
